Logan Trail System Meeting this Tuesday

September 30th 2013 MDT

All,   *This Tuesday there is an important Logan City Council meeting about funding urban trails for Logan*. If approved, the City will get $1.75 to complete 4 miles of trails in the next year. If it doesn’t get funded, it would likely take 10-20 years to do the same. These sections of trail to be completed will tie into existing trails, and provide important connectivity to the system as well as increasing safety.   *Please come if you can to show your support!* It is Tuesday, October 1st, at 290 W. 100 N. ...Continue Reading

Endorsement Letter

September 25th 2013 MDT

Jeff and BPAC, attached is the slighly revised letter that Jeff Gilbert passed around at our last meeting.  I've have spoken with Holly Daines, Russ Akina, and Russ Hollie, plus briefly spoke with Holly again tonight.  It appears the matter will come up for vote at next Tues. City Council mtg.  I think the proposal will initially get funds to make walking and bike trail improvemenst and connections.  Most importantly, based on our last meeting, Holly and both Russes now understand our concerns abou ...Continue Reading

RE: Open Streets Festival and Bike Safety

September 22nd 2013 MDT

I'm not certified, but I am a year-round commuter.. RE: Open Streets Festival and Bike Safety

September 11th 2013 MDT

This is a just a perfect opportunity also for BPAC to have a presence at the Alternative Transportation Week Open Streets Festival. Both working towards the same end…. I brought this up because I have been observing some very scary bike riding behavior on campus this semester. I don’t think any students here wear helmets. And we did h ...Continue Reading
