Former Community Development Director of West Valley City, Joseph Moore has passed away

Affordable housing ordinances

All,  My County Council is wanting me to explore affordable housing options.  We currently require all developments to provide 10% of the density as affordable housing in the development or a fee-in-lieu .  The Council feels that the market can satisfy the affordable housing due to a number of market rate apartments that have been built in the area that meet or are below the 80% AMI.  We also have property within the County currently zoned to allow for apartments.    Does anyone have ...Continue Reading
