Public Trails and Private Cattle Range

Hi Utah planners -
 
Does anyone have experience with public trails on private cattle range? Ideally, I'm after both contact from a landowner in this situation that is favorable towards the trail, and what key elements made the project work.   I'm working on this type of situation to extend the BST up here in Cache County.
