Planning Commission training/curriculum

Good afternoon all!

Our City Council has asked that we create or implement a curriculum/structured training for our planning commission.  I would also like to see if you think it would be recommended or appropriate to make this required.  If you have required training or a curriculum your PC have you seen any pros or cons to this?

In the past we have used the LUAU trainings and tried to have some regularity to it, but it was not required.  We have been through the videos with our previous PC members during our PC meetings, but as of late the length of agendas and time in taken for land use applications has made this using that time for the trainings much more difficult.

Thank you in advance!
