Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out as the State Data Center Coordinator to let you know about a few things going on in the Census world. Since planners can be heavy users of Census Bureau data, I thought these things might be of interest.
1) The Census Bureau has re-opened the comment period regarding 2020 Census Data Products. If any program funding that your government or department works with is dependent on decennial census counts (think anything you pull down from Summary File 1), please consider sending in your feedback by the new November 8 deadline.

2) We are hosting the annual State Data Center Conference on Tuesday, November 6 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Gardner Policy Institute. We have a limited number of sign-ups available for non-Affiliate members. If you are interested, feel free to check out our registration page or contact me directly. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/utah-state-data-center-conference-non-affiliate-tickets-51077854237
3) If you would like to be kept up to date on data releases from the Census Bureau and local resources, consider joining the State Data Center listserv. If you are interested, contact me at mallory.bateman@PROTECTED or 801-587-9224.

FYI: The State Data Center is a partnership program with the Census Bureau, which was formerly a part of GOMB and moved to the Gardner Policy Institute several years ago. For more info: https://www.census.gov/about/partners/sdc.html
