POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Kaysville City is accepting applications for the position of City Community Development Director.
This position is under the general guidance and direction of the City Manager and performs a variety of professional administrative, technical and supervisory duties related to the planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating the development review, urban planning, community and economic development function for the City.
The individual in this position provides direct supervision to professional and technical planning staff, building and code enforcement staff and support personnel.
Competitive candidates will possess:
● Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, engineering, business administration, real estate development, public administration or closely related field.
● Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the public or private sector that includes two (2) years in a supervisory or management position.
● An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience necessary to successfully perform the duties and fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
● ICC and/or AICP and related certifications preferable.
This is a full time position with a complete benefits package. Salary range is negotiable and to be determined within the Kaysville City Compensation Plan based on the quality and qualifications of the applicants.
