Reports indicate a shortage of 43,000 affordable housing units in Utah. Are Utah's conservative values contributing to the shortage or are they the foundation for a solution?

Expert panel will discuss ideological and regulatory obstacles to achieving greater housing choice--affordability, type, and mix--in a red state. Reception to follow the discussion.

Featured Panelists:

Jonathan Coppage, Visiting Senior Fellow, R-Street Institute, Studying and writing about regulatory obstacles to developing walkable neighborhoods. Washington DC

Derek Monson, Director of Public Policy, The Sutherland Institute. Salt Lake City, Utah

Heath Hansen, Legislative Correspondent for Senator Mike Lee and former Policy Adviser, U.S. Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Washington DC

The discussion will be moderated by former CNU Utah Board Member, Dina Blaes.
