Urban Design Utah invites you to
join our spring symposium program, co-presented with
CNU Utah Chapter.
Barriers to Condo Development in Utah
Salt Lake City once led urban housing innovation, with the first condominium project developed in the continental United States. Per the latest U.S. Census data, condominiums make up only about 5% of multifamily developments in Utah. This may be a missed opportunity for households to purchase homes in urban areas, as urban growth and development expands around transit and emerging city centers across the Wasatch Front Region.
Congress for the New Urbanism Utah Chapter and Urban Design Utah are presenting a
free event to explore the barriers to condo development in Utah, and discuss how to address issues that limit affordable home-buying opportunities as owning a home becomes increasingly unattainable.
