Pay Range:                      $30.06 - $44.57 per hour (Depending on Experience/Certification)

Tremonton City is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Senior Planner. The pay range is $30.06 to $44.57 and the exact pay is based on experience. Under the general supervision of the City Manager, performs advanced City planning duties relating to current planning, including the processing of land use applications, serves as the land use authority for certain applications, and participates in long-range planning, ordinance drafting, specific planning projects, and other technical planning matters.

 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, or a similar planning-related field, with five to seven years of progressive work experience performing and leading civic planning activities.  Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred.

This position may be underfilled as a Planner II or potentially a Planner I. If the position is underfilled, the duties, knowledge, skills, and abilities listed in the job description will be reduced commensurate with the education and experience of the candidate. 

 

PLANNER II $25.73 - $36.42

  • Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, or a similar planning-related field.
  • Three to five years of work experience performing and leading civic planning activities.

 

PLANNER I $24.66 - $36.29

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Geography, Landscape Architecture, or a similar planning-related field.
  • One to two years of work experience performing planning activities.
