Spanish Fork City is reviewing their street tree management standards and is looking for standards from other cities on the following:
Who is responsible for tree installation, maintenance, and replacement in park strips for new developments - the City, developers, contractors, property owners, other?
Does your city have a program to assist developers and property owners with tree installation in park strips (such as the developer can opt to pay a fee to the city for tree purchase and installation)?
Does your city budget for replacement or installation of trees in older developments?
What is the average cost or charge per tree installation in your city?
Does your city have a city arborist or city forester position?
Any feedback and/or code references would be helpful and appreciated. Please pass this message along to those who can best provide responses.
Thank you!
