ABOUT PERRY CITY:

The City of Perry is a growing community located in Box Elder County, between Brigham City and Willard City. Desired for its small town family oriented culture, Perry City is the fastest growing community in the County and has the highest median income. The City offers the convenience of two elementary schools, a Wal-Mart grocery store, a movie theater, and many dining options including the famous Maddox Restaurant. There are many recreation opportunities in the area (within a 10 mile radius including great ATV trails, camping sites, fishing holes, boating at Willard Bay State Park, a golf course, and a public outdoor 1,000 yard shooting sports complex, just to name a few). Perry City is also close to many area ski resorts. With an expected 45% growth in population over the next 15 years, and the many commercial opportunities possible in our Pointe Perry and 1100 South commercial areas we are seeking team members who can assist in shaping our progressive community.

JOB OPENINGS:

Perry City is seeking an individual, or individuals, to fill the job openings of City Administrator and City Planner. Duties of the City Administrator include assisting in the supervision and coordination of day to day affairs of the City and Special Projects. Duties of the City Planner include assisting with planning and zoning questions, attending and participating in Planning Commission meetings, updating and administering land use code in adherence with state law. These positions may be filled separately or in combination with each other depending on qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e. Political Science, Public Administration, Planning, Legal Studies, Law, or Public Policy) and at least two years experience working in state or local government. Preference is given to those candidates with advanced or graduate degree(s) in the above mention areas or other related fields, and to those candidates that have supervisory experience and demonstrated experience in policy implementation.
