Transportation Improvement Program

The Cache Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (CMPO) draft copy of the 2024-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) available for public review.  The TIP contains a programmed listing of State and federal-aid highway, bicycle/pedestrian and transit projects for the Logan Urbanized Area. In addition, this program has been determined to be “conforming” with regard to particulate matter 2.5 emission analysis (air quality) standards. A conforming program is one which has been analyzed for emissions of controlled air pollutants and found to satisfy emission level limits established in the State Implementation Plan (SIP) for air quality (or interim emission budgets).  This conformity analysis is made by the CMPO to be submitted to the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration for their concurrence.  The official public comment period for these documents (TIP and Air Quality Conformity Determination) ended on August 1,2023. Those interested can view or receive a copy of the Draft TIP and Conformity Determination at the CMPO office at 179 N. Main Street, Suite 305, Logan, UT 84321 or at www.cachempo.org. Written comments can be submitted to the CMPO at the address listed below.

In addition, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is also seeking review and comment on their proposed 2023-2028 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).  See www.udot.utah.gov.

The program will likely be considered for final approval at the CMPO Executive Council Meeting August. Once approved, this program will be the final program unless amended.

This public comment period is the Cache Valley Transit District’s (CVTD) public participation process for those transit related projects shown in the TIP and is intended to satisfy CVTD’s program of projects requirements.
