My attention has been drawn to the fact that the linked documents don't have much more than overture to what was discussed and shown at stakeholder meetings.  See attached for a bit of a visual of what is proposed.

BPAC -

If you would enjoy having a separated, bike/ped pathway connecting Logan to the Wellsvilles, take a moment to participate in the public comment period open now to UDOT's project with SR30 (Valley View Highway)

From Udot:
UDOT has posted on the study website (http://sr30study.com/documents.php) a draft of the Alternatives-Development and Screening Report. This report details which alternatives UDOT developed for consideration in the EIS and an evaluation of each alternative using various criteria. The report provides a summary of which alternative UDOT plans to consider further in the EIS. A copy of this report is also attached to this email along with a newsletter that summarizes the findings.

UDOT is seeking your input on the Alternatives-Development and Screening Report and will accept comments until April 28, 2017. Comments may be submitted to SR30study@PROTECTED. UDOT will review each comment received and consider them for possible revisions to the alternatives that will be considered further in the EIS. Input into the process from the public is encouraged to ensure that the final improvement solution reflects the needs of the community.

If you glazed over that language, please consider writing into SR30study@PROTECTED , and consider putting these points out there:

- Any improvement should minimize impact to the wetlands as much as possible

- The only acceptable bike/ped facility along a highway is a physically separated facility, maintaining as much physical separation from the auto roadway as possible.  Anything less is unsafe and does not encourage more people to ride and walk the facility.

- This is a crucial link to provide alternative transportation options between the east and west of our valley.  Our only roadways in the center of the valley are Mendon Road and SR30.  Neither is a good option for a 45 minute bicycle commute, due to current safety concerns but with improvements, we could establish a crucial link in our active transportation system as our community continues to grow.

Thank you, and please let me know if there are questions or concerns,
