In case you missed it, we had a lively discussion about Bike Week 2024 plans, primarily advertising. The idea of soliciting bigger sponsorships in the form of radio and social media ads with the intention of doing more fundraising rather than asking for food/prizes was discussed at length. We also discussed potentially having the fuel stations at more than one location, or having more than one fuel station on some days. I've created a short survey to gauge interest in making this change since some members that regularly attend were not present yesterday. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience.

Landis, Isaac, and myself discussed this idea with our supervisors and while it is something we would like to do, it is not a viable option this year due to how little time we have before the event. It will involve presenting to the County Council for approval and working with our Finance department to flesh out the specifics. We appreciate those that brought up the idea and who were willing to help create the tier system or solicit sponsorships. We would still like to develop a tiered sponsorship system and begin working towards having this as an option for next year once we have gotten through this year's event. We can boost our social media posts this year though, and plan to do that as we get closer to May.

Although we cannot make this idea work for this year, the event will still be bigger than it was last year. While we have had passports in the past, they were not part of the event last year. We have 2 more employees now (although we are still very new to our positions) and intend on continuing to grow and make this event bigger and better each year.
