January BPAC Minutes and Bike Week Volunteer Signup

Here are the minutes from yesterday's meeting:

We ran out of time to go over this signup sheet in more detail so here is a brief description of what each category would entail:
- Tabling - During bike week, we set up fueling stations and will need help running them. Times and locations are TBD
- Sponsor Outreach - There has usually been a passport that asks participants to travel on their bike to various local businesses and some businesses have sponsored the fueling stations in the past. We need volunteers to help reach out to businesses and find out who is willing to sponsor and in what capacity
- Kick Off Event Planning and Day Of Coordination - This category has two parts, helping beforehand to plan the event and helping the day of. We intend on having tables from other groups so the majority of the day of help would be setting up and tearing down since the tables will primarily be run by other groups
- Outreach/Marketing - We plan to create the marketing materials and share it on our social media, but would also like to work on getting the word out by other means. Some ideas were pushing it out to the local schools, airing an ad on radio stations or in local papers, and asking sponsors to hang a flyer at their businesses. This section would primarily entail reaching out to contacts if you have them, sharing the announcements on your social media, and delivering media materials
If you know other people who may be interested in helping, feel free to share this with them and invite them to our monthly meetings. We also plan to begin having committee meetings once we have a better idea of how many volunteers we have and what size of event we can put on.
