New ULCT Board of Directors, Thursday Highlights, and Friday Preview
ULCT Congratulates our New Board of Directors
Today, attendees in our morning business session elected new officers and board of directors for the Utah League of Cities and Towns. We thank our outgoing board and look forward to working with our new League leaders.
Thursday Workshops and Roundtables
For more than 30 years, David Church has been a resource for municipal law for the Utah League of Cities and Towns. He has worked very closely with many of you over those years, and has shared his practical legal advise to work through a wide array of situations that we face in municipal governance.
It's time for some long-awaited fishing for Dave as he prepares to retire after the convention, and we sincerely thank him and wish him well (along with a really great catch every now and then).
Before he goes, he shares his sage advise and comedic anecdotes with us. We invite you to join his workshop "Ask Dave Anything" tomorrow at 10:45 am.
This will be one of many workshops and roundtables following the gubernatorial debate and general session in the morning.
If you missed this or any of the conference sessions, you'll have complete access to all of them next week through the conference app.
What to Expect on Friday
2020 Utah Gubernatorial Debate
Tomorrow morning, we are pleased to bring you the first 2020 debate between the candidates for Governor, Chris Peterson and Spencer Cox. Our moderator, Doug Wilks, will ask questions about issues of interest to leaders of our 249 cities and towns.
The debate will begin promptly at 9:00 am and will be followed by remarks from Jennie Taylor and presentation of the 2020 Taylor Service Award.
Register for the debate and general session in your conference app.
