BTSWW update

Hi BPAC,

So much has changed since we met last week! I hope this email finds you well and still on your social distancing vehicle.

The CDC has recommended no gatherings of 50 or more people for eight weeks. BTSWW is past that timeframe…by just one week, so Karlie and I talked about planning the week as a low-contact campaign focused on bicycles as a way to exercise and commute while maintaining social distance. Since the situation is evolving quickly, we’ll delay our BPAC April meeting to Wednesday, April 22 at noon (possibly online) and decide how we want to move forward.

For now, we’ll watch the situation with the idea that we can implement an easy to plan Bike to School and Work Week that doesn’t require significant investment upfront. We still have the possibility of a passport, which people could use individually. Additionally, we can include a Cache Quest 2.0, based on the puzzle Jon Brunn developed last year. At this point, plans for a group ride or CVTD stop will be kept flexible since uncertainty is high. Please let me know if you have additional thoughts.

Wishing you all the best,

Alexi
