Bike to the Market this Saturday!

May is Bike Month and to celebrate you should bike to the Cache Valley Gardeners' Market this week and join in on the festivities put on by USU's Aggie Blue Bikes.

The festival promotes responsible bike riding by offering bike maintenance workshops taught by local bike shops.

Competitions will be held all day and require no entry fee. People can compete in a bike toss, slow race, drag race and tire patch competition. Prizes will be awarded in all competitions. New to the festival this year will be a bike swap, where people can sell their bikes.

Of course, the Bike Festival won't be the only happening going on at the park - Cache Valley Gardeners' Market returns for the 2nd market of the 2012 season. We broke all records last week with an opening day of over 100 vendors.

VENDORS - Remember you NEED to move your cars at least 2 blocks away after you unload. If there is no parking our customers drive on. Parking will be especially dear this week due to the two events at the park. PLEASE be considerate and follow market rules.

This Weekend At Market

Probably one of the best kept secrets of Cache Valley is that you can find the largest variety of flower and vegetable starts at the Cache Valley Gardeners' Market the first few weeks of May.

Our vendors not only sell the finished product but many also grow the most beautiful flower and vegetable starts in northern Utah! They specialize in heirloom plants - hurry  in for best selection - they are going fast!

Now is the time to get your garden growing!

Stop by our market for a wide variety of flower, vegetable and herb plants to make your garden blossom!

This Weekend at the Market

Stock up on produce and more: At the Market this weekend, you'll find assorted lettuce, radishes, green onions, greens, broccoli, assorted herbs, meat, cheese, baked goods, jams and jellies, honey, salsa, dog treats, arts and crafts, vegetable and herb plants, perennial and annual bedding plants. For a guide to what produce is in season, take a peek at our Harvest Calendar.

Plant a local garden!
Our growers are bringing more starts than ever!!

You Don't Need Cash to shop at our Farmers' Market
Credit Cards, Debit Cards and EBT Cards are accepted at Cache Valley Gardeners' Market.  Go to the north side of the market information booth to buy tokens that can be used with most vendors!

REMEMBER - your green EBT tokens are only good for EBT approved items.

VENDORS - You don't need to 'cash in' your tokens weekly but please TURN IN any you receive weekly. The workers at the booth can keep track of your earnings and mail you one check when you request it.
Music this Week
Portneuf Gap Bluegrass Band

This Saturday save some time to do a little toe tappin' to the Portneuf Gap Bluegrass Band. This group is sure to have vendors and shoppers alike snapping their fingers and clapping in time!
