I proudly recognize my Sisseton Whapeton Oyote and Diné
heritage. I respectfully acknowledge that Utah’s
Transportation system occupies the historical territory of
the Paiute, Goshute, Shoshone, Navajo (Diné) and Ute
Nations. My work, which provides for my family, occurs on
this land and I wish to express my respect and gratitude to
its historic stewards. I hope that I can influence positive
change through integrating my work with the philosophy
of my Native ancestors who care so deeply for this land to
this day.
