All - curious if anyone has this type of example around them that can speak to usefulness/durability/environmental impact:
We have an opportunity to recycle road tailings (grindings of the top few inches of asphalt) as surfacing for flat portions the Blacksmith Fork Canyon Connector Trail.
Has anyone worked with this material as a trail surface before?
Can you provide any input as to caution/success/design criteria?
Seeing it in other roadway applications as a crushed gravel substitute seems promising, but I'd like to know if anyone has used it successfully in a trail application.
Thanks!
