Hiya BPAC!
Just a reminder that we'll have our monthly meeting tomorrow @ Cache County Admin Bldg, 179 N Main St. Logan. Items of discussion will include:
Legislative Action/Discussion:
- Call for Action: Please consider contacting
Val Potter, and
Scott D. Sandall (Chairs of Senate/House Appropriations committees) and urge them to support the Youth BEST and 1000 Miles programs - these are two programs run by Bike Utah that have direct impact on teaching Cache County youth to safely ride bicycles and to support efforts of my office and small governments throughout the state as they strive to build additional miles of recreation and active transportation networks. Their continued reach to Cache County is greatly appreciated and has real opportunities for impact in our communities. (note how you could copy and paste/modify that last sentence in an email if you only had a few moments)
- Open discussion on additional state legislation actions as relevant to active transportation in Utah.
BTWW 2019 pre planning
Please bring forward ideas and thoughts on how we can improve the event(s), location(s), activitie(s) and promotions of Bike to Work Week 2019. As a pre-planning meeting - no idea is too crazy to bring forward, and I hope to hear lots of thoughts about ways to improve upon prior year's efforts and participation.
USU Street Speed Limits
A Aggie Blue Bikes / USU led effort is forming to propose lower speed limits surrounding campus. We will discuss strategies, involvement, research, etc to help make the case to Logan Public Works.
