Does anyone on this list have good connections to a Cache County School administrator? Bike Utah's youth education program is looking for partner schools for next year, and I'd love to help coordinate many visits up here to Cache County.  See notice below.

Welcome the New Bike Utah Staff Members

There are some big changes underway here at Bike Utah and our programs are growing. We are excited to introduce two new staff members who are joining the Bike Utah team.
Hannah Dhonau (left) comes on board as our newest Youth Program Coordinator. She will be a part of the team implementing our Youth BEST Program. Hannah has experience working with youth and has spent time in the bicycle industry. Hannah is an accomplished mountain biker and bikepacker, having raced the Tour Divide. She will be a great addition to the Youth BEST Program and in getting more kids around Utah excited to ride bicycles.
Chris Wiltsie (right) is our new Program Director in charge of our 1,000 Miles Campaign. He comes to us from Orem City and also serves as the chair of the Provo Bicycle Committee. Chris has worked on numerous infrastructure projects in Utah County and now we're excited to have him take his talents statewide. He will be kicking off our efforts to build 1,000 new miles of family-friendly bicycle lanes, paths, and trails by 2027.

Volunteer Opportunity

We need some help with data entry related to the Youth BEST Program. All of this volunteer work can be done from the comfort of your own home and would be a huge help in growing the reach of the Youth BEST Program. If you have some time to help out, send us an email at info@PROTECTED

Recruiting Schools for 2019

We're expanding the Youth BEST Program to a second truck in January. With this expansion, we will have the capacity to reach 6,000 students every year through the program. We are looking for more schools to participate in the program. If you are or know a teacher, administrator, or parent that would like to host the Youth BEST Program, we are accepting applications for Spring 2019 until December 14th. Complete the application on the Youth BEST Program website at the link below.

Final 2018 Salt Lake Action Group Meeting

Do you have ideas and want to get involved in improving safety and conditions for bicyclists and pedestrians in Salt Lake County? Please join Bike Utah's Salt Lake Action Group Thursday, November 15, 6:00 PM at the Columbus Center (2530 500 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84106) for our last meeting of 2018. We need your input in a discussion of how to build momentum for a successful and productive 2019.

West Valley Active Transportation Plan - Give Your Input

West Valley City is currently undergoing a planning process to recommend and implement more bicycling and walking facilities throughout the city and we need to hear from you! Know of an intersection that could use better lighting? Can think of a road that would be nice to ride on if it had a bike lane? We want to know what biking and walking improvements you want! Please help us by adding your comments, ideas, and suggestions to the online project comment map found in the link below.
