Friday April 21, 8 a.m. paddle in search of the elusive American Bittern

Meet on Mendon Rd. (600 South) on the east side where it crosses Spring Creek (and is currently closed due to road collapse).

We will unload boats and shuttle vehicles to the take-out on Valley View highway at the west end of Cutler March (on west side of the Bear River).

Must have own boat and PFD (life jacket).

Estimated paddling time is 1.5-2 hours plus shuttle time so don’t plan to be anywhere before 11 am.

Bring water, hat, sunscreen, and binoculars.

Check out this info on the bird and be sure to listen to the recording as we are more likely to hear it than to see it (but will be very lucky to find one).
