In fall 2012, the CMPO conducted an online extended bicycle and pedestrian survey. This was done in conjunction with other home travel surveys done earlier in the year. Unlike the home travel survey, the participants in extended bicycle and pedestrian survey were “self-selected” (not a random sample). Invitations to participate in the survey were promulgated via email, web and other social media. Responses were received from 208 individuals. These respondents identified nearly 500 walking or bicycling barriers, problem areas or opportunities in Cache County. Additional input was gathered about respondents travel behavior, demographics and attitudes toward bicycling and walking.
