2015 Call for Funding Proposals (COG Road Tax and CMAQ)

Funding proposal are now being accepted for two funding sources:

Local COG sales tax funds for road projects
(up to $3.6 million potentially available countywide)
The Cache County Council of Governments (COG) is making applications available for 2015 road project funding. Potentially up to $3.6 million will be available for prioritized projects in 2015. Funding for these projects comes from a 1/4% countywide sales tax that was approved by Cache County voters in 2008. Important Dates: Courtesy “Notice of Intent to Apply” Due: July 30, 2015. Federal Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality Funds (CMAQ)
(up to $1.3 million potentially available in CMPO area)
The CMPO is currently accepting project funding proposals for federal Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) funds to be used for projects that 1) provide traffic congestion relief, 2) projects improving the diversity and/or usefulness of travel mode other than single occupant vehicles 3) projects showing demonstrable air quality benefits (for mobile emission sources).  The proposal should describe the project, include a project summary budget and identify the anticipated reductions in the mobile source emissions likely to be achieved by the project. The minimum funding request for most construction projects is $250,000 (due to federal aid project administration overhead).
